Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Plate Studio ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and our video ad service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your name, email address and restaurant name.
- Content you provide, including photos you upload, links to your Google Maps or Yelp page, and edits you make to scripts and videos.
- Public business information we retrieve from the pages you link, such as your restaurant's name, address, ratings and reviews.
- Connected accounts. If you connect YouTube or a social account to publish, we receive the access needed to post on your behalf. We do not receive your passwords.
- Usage data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and basic diagnostic logs.
How we use it
- To generate, edit and publish your video ads.
- To operate, maintain and improve the service.
- To respond to your messages and send important service updates.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use trusted third parties to host the service, process data and generate media, including AI providers that help write scripts and produce video. They only receive what they need to perform those tasks for us. When you publish to a platform like YouTube, that platform's own privacy policy applies to what you post there.
Retention
We keep your content and account information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and content at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep something by law.
Your choices
You can access, correct or delete your information, and disconnect linked accounts, at any time. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights over your personal information. To make a request, email jacobquion@berkeley.edu.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Plate Studio is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
